User Reviews about Garmin nüvi 760 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator
I bought this for my wife and we have found it to be indespensible on family trips. We never realized how much we were missing by not having one.
She likes that it shows speed limit for road you are on, the bright colorful graphics, and that it tells you street names. It works well with a portable friction mount (sold separately).
She doesn't like that it took awhile to figure out how to see the entire list of directions and how long it takes to acquire a satellite. I find the voice to be annoying and although the volume can be adjusted, its either too loud or too low. Now I know why some manufacturers allow you to change the voice. These voice prompts sometimes occur too late, as in, you have already passed a turn before it tells you about it (like a commercial I have seen on TV). This is all the more reason to plan your trip, stay alert, and pay attention.
Two final things I wish it had: It does not tell you which lane to be in and it does not include lifetime updates like its competitors.
Overall, we like it, even with its minor flaws. If you don't allow it to become a total crutch, you'll like it too. -- Great GPS
It's a comfort to have this in my glove box, I wont ever feel completely lost again. Thanks Garmin! -- Never be lost again =)
I bought this GPS one 1.5 year back,From the begining this has two problems,The Audio will not work some times and the response time was not very good. -- Not So great
