User Reviews about Lowrance 000-0125-19 XOG 3.5-Inch Crossover GPS Navigator

I have owned the XOG for 3 years and found it to be reliable and very versatile. In the car, the XOG's performance is equal to the Garmin, TomToms and Magellans that my friends own. But where the Lowrance XOG really shines is on the water using the optional coastal navigation charts. I have never used it off road but the fact that it is capable of using BLM charts makes it an awesome navigational tool.
The mp3 menu takes some getting used to but sounds great plugged into the AUX input on a car stereo. Where the XOG stumbles slightly is that internal battery has a short charged time which limits its use without a power cord.
For some reason Lowrance has dropped the XOG. Too bad because I would have definitely recommended it to my boating friends. -- Most Versatile
This GPS is very easy to use and directions are clear. I haven't yet downloaded any maps, but love the fact I can. The instruction booklet was easy to follow and assisted in setting up the unit. -- My New GPS
Been using this for a while now and much of the time it works fine, but other times we have all sorts of trouble with the screen freezing, the on screen buttons situating themselves off the screen so that you have to reset it from the back with a very small tool in order to be able to use it correctly. The mount that holds it to the dash or window suddenly loses suction sending the unit tumbling.

Still, it has gotten us out of a lot of jams so I can't totally fault it. For the most part the directions are right on, except when it has us out in the middle of a field...well the display does, we are still on road, but the system sometimes loses track of that. -- Works Most of the Time But Can Be Irritating Too.
